5D Rimless Low Iron Glass, Superior Craftsmanship

All Waterbox aquariums feature ultra-clear, low-iron Starphire glass that lets you see your fish and corals more clearly! Typical glass can block up to 20% of light passing through and can cause a yellowing effect, where Waterbox aquarium glass will allow more than 91% of light through. The increased light transfusion leads to more brilliant colors and an overall better-looking tank.

Like all Waterbox aquariums, the REEF series also includes strong straight-edged black silicone joints to create a leak-free aquarium. After assembly, every tank is water tested and inspected to ensure years of worry-free reefing. A pre-glued self-leveling mat is also included to minimize the effects of uneven surfaces or pressure points.

 

All Glass Overflow Box

Plastic overflow boxes can be a hassle, as they are hard to clean and can become brittle over time. That’s why Waterbox aquariums feature all-glass overflows that can be cleaned just like the aquarium walls, with a metal-bladed scraper, saving you time and headaches. The REEF series overflow box features water-etched weir teeth and a sleek glass cover featuring the Waterbox logo.

 

Reef-Ready Sump System

The REEF series comes complete with a glass sump filtration system thoughtfully designed for your needs. The baffled sump includes chambers for filter socks, a return pump, an RO reservoir*, a refugium**, and a large section for a protein skimmer or reactor. Two filter socks are included in the REEF series to help polish your water from any free-floating particles, leading to longer pump life and cleaner water. The RO reservoir is perfect for holding freshwater for top offs to replace evaporated water in your aquarium. Just add your favorite ATO system for days or weeks of hassle-free evaporation management!  

*The larger models (REEF 180.5 & 220.6) do not include an internal RO Reservoir chamber in the sump. Instead, they feauture a seperate, external evaporation reservoir for easier maintenance.

Custom Plumbing

Plumb your new tank in minutes with the included quick-connect PVC plumbing. Waterbox plumbing is made up of a mixture of rigid PVC, unions, and gate valves to give you a silent system, while also remaining safe from overflows and leaks. The pre-built sections make connecting everything super simple– no plumbing knowledge required! The REEF series even includes a dual-manifold, giving you additional valves for whatever optional equipment you’d like to incorporate. The REEF 180.5 and 220.6 have the added benefit of an included check valve, so you don’t need to worry about back-siphoning in the event of a power failure. 

 

UV Coated Cabinet in White or Black

Each REEF aquarium is paired with a UV-coated and durable cabinet stand made from solid plywood and supported by leveling feet for long-lasting stability. These cabinets are built to endure harsh and humid environments, and they even include soft close hinges that are PVC coated to minimize oxidation from saltwater. The cabinets have a modern look with recessed push-open doors and are available in either white or black finishes.
