The BRS Pharma Hybrid Balling Method is the answer for implementing trace elements alongside the BRS two part you know and love. Easily make single or multiple gallons of each solution at a time with the bulk package. The kit includes everything you will need to replenish calcium, alkalinity, magnesium, and trace elements in your reef tank; everything from the additives, mixing jugs, dispensing pumps, and a funnel to keep things clean!

 

Bulk Reef Supply 2-part additives are made with only pharmaceutical based ingredients. Since calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium are the backbone of the chemistry in your aquarium, using high-quality additives makes it much easier to keep a cleaner reef tank with fewer impurities, leading to better coral coloration and growth!

Mixing Instructions:

 

BRS Pharma Balling Method Calcium Liquid Solution – Fill a 1-gallon container 4/5 full of RO/DI or distilled water and then add the entire contents of 1 pouch into the container. Secure the cap on the container and shake it for about 10 seconds to help start the dissolving process. Remove the cap and fill the container the rest of the way with RO/DI or distilled water. Give the container a few more shakes and then let it sit until all the salts have dissolved before use.

 

BRS Pharma Balling Method Soda Ash Liquid Alkalinity – Fill a 1-gallon container 4/5 full of RO/DI or distilled water and then add the entire contents of 1 pouch into the container. Secure the cap on the container and shake it for about 10 seconds to help start the dissolving process. Remove the cap and fill the container the rest of the way with RO/DI or distilled water. Give the container a few more shakes and then let it sit until all the salts have dissolved before use.

BRS Pharma Balling Method Magnesium Mix Solution – Fill a 1-gallon container 1/2 full of RO/DI or distilled water and then add 5 1/4 cups (933 grams) of BRS Magnesium Chloride and 2 cups (332 grams) of BRS Magnesium Sulfate into the container. Secure the cap on the container and shake it for about 10 seconds to help start the dissolving process. Remove the cap and fill the container the rest of the way with RO/DI or distilled water. Give the container a few more shakes and then let it sit until all the salts have fully dissolved before use.

 

BRS Pharma Balling Method Part C (Tropic Marin) Mixing Instructions – Using a clean 1-gallon jug or container, fill it 1/2 full of RO/DI water. Add 4 scoops of Balling Part C to 1 gallon jug. Screw on the cap to the jug and shake it for about 10 seconds to start the dissolving process. Remove the cap and fill the container the rest of the way with RO/DI water. Replace the cap and give the container a few more shakes and let it sit until the salts are fully dissolved which should only take a couple hours.

Example for 100-Gallon Aquarium

Calcium Level Day 1 @ 8pm – 420ppm (desired level)

Calcium Level Day 5 @ 8pm – 400ppm (current level)

5-Day Calcium Requirement – 102.3 mL (provided by BRS Reef Calculator)

Daily Calcium Requirement – 20.46 mL (102.3 mL / 5 days)

 

Alkalinity Level Day 1 @ 8pm – 9.0 dKH (desired level)

Alkalinity Level Day 5 @ 8pm – 7.5 dKH (current level)

5-Day Alkalinity Requirement – 107.1 mL (provided by BRS Reef Calculator)

Daily Alkalinity Requirement – 21.42 mL (107.1 mL / 5 days)

 

Magnesium Level Day 1 @ 8pm – 1220 ppm(desired level)

Magnesium Level Day 5 @ 8pm – 1240 ppm(current level)

5-Day Magnesium Requirement – 161.2 mL (provided by BRS Reef Calculator)

Daily Magnesium Requirement – 32.4 mL (161.2 mL / 5 days)

 

Tropic Marin Part C Dosing Amount – Dosing of the Balling Part C solution is based off your aquarium’s alkalinity dosage. The Part C solution should be dosed at double the amount of the Soda Ash solution used. For example, if you are dosing 21.5mL of Soda Ash solution, you’ll dose 43mL of Part C solution. If you notice that your alkalinity demand is constantly more than your calcium demand, then we recommend using the calcium, instead of the alkalinity, as the indicator for the Part C dosage. In that case the volume would be matched, not doubled.
