Fauna Marin Elementals Ca+Sr is a specialized solution formulated to address calcium or strontium deficiencies in reef aquariums. Both calcium and strontium are essential elements for the growth and development of coral skeletons and other invertebrates in reef aquariums.

Maintaining appropriate levels of calcium and strontium is crucial for promoting healthy coral growth and overall reef ecosystem balance. The recommended calcium level is typically between 380 to 420 mg/L, while strontium should be maintained at around 8 mg/L (at 35 salinity). Regular testing with a laboratory water analysis is advised to ensure these levels are within the optimal range.

This solution is highly concentrated, meaning only a small amount needs to be added to the aquarium water to achieve the desired calcium and strontium levels. The recommended dosing is 50 ml per 100 liters (26 US gallons) of water, which increases the calcium content by approximately 95 mg per liter and the strontium content by approximately 1.8 mg per liter. It’s important not to exceed a maximum daily dose of increasing calcium by more than 25 ml per 100 liters to avoid over-dosing.

As with other additives, it’s essential to keep the product tightly closed after opening to prevent evaporation and contamination. Storing it in a dark place at room temperature helps maintain its stability and effectiveness over time.
