It allows aquarists to automate frequent, small feedings and is designed to work perfectly with freeze-dried prlankton foods, such as Avast Marine Reef Jerky. Unlike competitor autofeeders, the Plank features a powered mixing chamber that foces freeze-dried food particles to become neutrally buoyant before being allowed to drop into the tank. This results in a nearly continuous supply of freshly hydrated plankton that suspends in the water column rather than floating on the surface and being caught in your overflow box or filtration system. The Plank also uses a slow dosing and precise auger-driven mechanism that can dose micrograms at a time, preventing large quantities of food from being dumped into your tank.
