Hanna Alkalinity DKH Colorimeter – HI772
The Hanna Alkalinity checker is an awesome little tool that now will give results in DKH values that are much more common in the aquarium hobby. It will also give you accurate, easy to read, repeatable results with the large LCD display. No color charts to compare or iffy titration, just a clear number on your screen.
Hanna Nitrate Low Range Colorimeter – HI781
The HI781 Checker is a simple, accurate, and cost-effective way to measure nitrate in your saltwater aquarium. With a digital read out, there is no more struggling to determine colors visually. Nitrate is a by-product of the Nitrogen cycle. It’s important to monitor this compound because excessive amounts of nitrates in a reef aquarium can promote the growth of undesirable organisms including algae and dinoflagellates, while insufficient amounts can lead to loss of color in your corals.
Hanna Phosphate Low Range Colorimeter – HI713
Three simple steps to results. The Hanna Phosphate Checker is an awesome little tool that will give you accurate easy to read results. If you have bad eyes or have a hard time with color change test kits, the digital readout on the Hanna checkers is super easy to read. Like nitrate, phosphate is a by-product of organics breaking down and should be maintained within the proper range for the health and growth of your tank inhabitants.
Salifert Calcium Test Kit
Trusted by discerning reefers for years, Salifert Test Kits feature some of the easiest to read results available. Their test kits include easy to follow instructions and straightforward, accurate results. Salifert test kits are also some of the most economical; the Salifert Calcium Test Kit will typically deliver upwards of 50 tests per kit.
Salifert Ammonia Test Kit
Ammonia is very toxic even in low levels and needs to be monitored closely during the break-in period of every new aquarium, during establishment of the nitrogen cycle. Salifert test kits are also some of the most economical; the Salifert Ammonia Test Kit contains 50 tests per kit and can easily detect as low as 0.5 ppm of total ammonia.
Salifert Nitrite Test Kit
Though not as toxic as ammonia, particularly in saltwater, monitoring nitrite will allow you to keep tabs on the progress of the nitrogen cycle as ammonia is broken down by bacteria into nitrite and finally nitrate.
BRS Refractometer & Calibration Fluid
Must have equipment for aquarists! Easily and accurately measure the salinity of your tank. Simple to use and read. This unit automatically compensates for temperature. Salinity Calibration Fluid included. For the most accurate readings you will want to calibrate the refractometer to the solution you will be reading, and that is why we always include a bottle of BRS Refractometer Calibration Solution at 35ppt (1.026sg) to keep your reef tanks salinity spot on.
